Gara 2 dei quarti di finale. Dopo la sconfitta casalinga di gara 1 in pochi avrebbero scommesso sulla vittoria di Sciotaim in casa del Piacenza Club, ma anche stavolta i ragazzi di Campagnola sono riusciti a stupire tutti quanti.
Le battute iniziali del match hanno messo in chiaro quale fosse lo spirito di Sciotaim, cioè nessun regalo ai favoriti piacentini e molta aggressività per sopperire al divario fisico.

Tutto si decide nell'ultimo quarto, dove sono le difese a farla da padrona adattandosi al metro arbitrale che si mantiene costante durante tutto l'arco del match.
In un finale punto a punto risultano decisivi per Sciotaim i tiri dalla lunga distanza di Carpi (18 punti per lui), mentre tra le fila di Piacenza è Lazeta (13 punti) che tenta di portare i suoi alla vittoria. Sul +3 a 2 minuti dalla fine, Sciotaim ha due volte l'occasione per chiudere il match ma le due conclusioni non entrano e Lazeta con due tiri liberi riporta i suoi sul -1. Nelle battute finale, Sciotaim si ritrova a 15 secondi dal termine in vantaggio di 1 punto e con il possesso palla. Gli avversari si vedono costretti a cercare il fallo sistematico, però avendo commesso solamente 2 falli si trovano costretti a commetterne altri due per entrare in bonus. Sciaguratamente per Sciotaim, sulla seconda rimessa il pallone viene recuperato ancora da Lazeta e il Piacenza ha quindi la possibilità per vincere anche questa partita. Con 8 secondi da giocare la difesa di Sciotaim riesce a rientrare velocemente e sporcare il pallone che termina in rimessa dal fondo. Sul cronometro rimangono solamente 1.4 secondi e, dopo un timeout chiamato dal coach Lavezzi, si decide di affidare l'ultimo pallone nelle mani di Furia, ma il suo tiro termina corto sul primo ferro.
La partita termina con il punteggio di 65-64 in favore di Sciotaim che riesce ad espugnare, per la prima volta nella stagione, il campo di Piacenza. Lunedì alle 21.30 sullo stesso campo si disputerà gara 3, decisiva per il passaggio in semifinale. Vi aspettiamo numerosi!!!

Sciotaim ci ha provato in gara 1 a sorprendere il Piacenza, ma a causa delle scarse percentuali al tiro e di qualche svista arbitrale non è riuscito a portare a casa la gara casalinga.
Il 1° quarto ha dimostrato che in campo c'erano due squadre in grado di giocarsi alla pari questa sfida, nonostante la notevole differenza di staffa fisica tra le due squadre. Infatti trovando delle buone soluzioni, Sciotaim si riesce portare in vantaggio per 23-15 al termine del primo periodo di gioco (grazie a Notari e Menozzi). Il 2° quarto non comincia altrettanto bene, Piacenza con Furia e Rizzi trova facilmente la via del canestro mentre tra le fila di Sciotaim due dei giocatori più importanti, Notari e Pirondini, si trovano dopo pochi minuti con dei problemi di falli (un tecnico fischiato a Notari mentre si stava rivolgendo a un suo compagno di squadra lascia molto discutere). Il parziale del secondo periodo recita 5-19, quindi il risultato all'intervallo vede gli ospiti in vantaggio di 6 lunghezze (34-28).
Nella ripresa, la zona di Piacenza continua a risultare indigesta a Sciotaim che non è in buona serata al tiro, quindi il divario di allarga ulteriormente e anche la situazione falli per Sciotaim peggiora; al termine del terzo periodo Piacenza cerca di scappare e arriva sul +12 (35-47).
